I cannot say enough about Mala and her team. I got married at the Garden City Hotel, this past November. My husband and I are both busy professionals and wanted a level of elegance that we didn’t have the time or connections to plan. About ten months before the wedding, I began interviewing wedding planners. I knew in the first meeting that Mala was it. Mala is a fantastic communicator. I sent her multiple e-mails a day, with questions and demands, and she responded to each and every e-mail quickly and thoughtfully. She was very well organized — there was not a request that went unmet. She met me whenever I was panicked. She listened, made sure she understood, and was patient. She also had a TON of connections in the industry. In fact, her aunt made both of my wedding dresses, which are still being talked about. I should note: my wedding was a unique one. We had a Catholic Priest and a Hindu Pandit, do our wedding together, in 45 minutes (not often done, not easy to get done). Mala arranged the ceremony so beautifully, so well, and with such attention to detail– we were told the wedding was second only to the Queen’s Coronation. I am a difficult customer and an annoying one to deal with, but I have to say with 100% conviction, Mala exceeded my expectations. She is at the top of her game and she made my wedding the most magical day of my life. I am so unbelievably grateful for her and her team and give them my highest recommendation.

My husband and I chose a Events by Mala to assist in organizing our big fat Punjabi wedding (620 guests) on Long Island, NY in July 2018. From the days leading up to our 2 events (Mendhi and Baraat) and the days of, Mala and her team were sure to assist with a wide range of organization. First and foremost, Mala is extremely kind, caring, helpful, and dilligent. She lent advice during times of stress (i.e., jewelry malfunctions) and during times of happiness! She was also always sure to remind me to stay hydrated during the summer heat, she does not miss a beat! To get more into detail, Mala and her team assist in developing a smooth and seamless timeline, to ensure all aspects of the events run ON TIME! Now, we all know how most South Asian weddings can be with timeliness, and that was my biggest concern. I refused to enter into my wedding at 10pm, and Mala made sure of that! Also, Mala and her team (Dylan, Jackie, and 2 others who’s names I cannot remember at the moment) made sure to keep all 30 of our groomsmen, bridesmaids, AND over 50 family members up to speed regarding the schedule, and helped prepare bridal/groom parties and immediate family members to line up for entrances. This all seems like so much, right? Well, they did MORE! For about a month or so, Mala was reaching out to vendors via phone and email to confirm bookings and to obtain information regarding any of their requests (i.e., tablecloths, tables etc) required for their setup. This helped avoid any issues/miscommunications on the day of the events. Looking back at our events, I truly am grateful for everything Mala and her team did to ensure our day was beyond special and ran according to schedule. Frankly, I’ve lost count of how many people have called/reached out to me telling me how smooth and seamless our wedding was! Thank you again Mala and everyone at Events by Mala for all of your support throughout our events. Not saying names, but one of us was hesitant about the need of wedding coordination services the day of, nonetheless the month of. Well before the month of the Sangeet and Wedding, there were no more questions about what kind of value Mala and her team were bringing. Although we used Mala for coordination of our Mehendi, Sangeet, and Wedding Ceremony and Reception, Mala was eager to offer support and advice on all aspects of our wedding week. The insight and experience and the professionalism and respect were crucial to making our week perfect. She and her team answered questions before we asked them, mitigated any risks or issues before they popped up, and dealt with many weather-contingent decisions without unnecessarily pulling us away from enjoying our weekend. In the end, they preserved our vision…and sanity! Our families who similarly didn’t necessarily realize what Mala and her team were doing to make sure our events were executed perfectly, and on time, could not stop raving about how critical they were to making the week and weekend perfect.
